dc.description.abstract | Fashion is an academic discipline which has much promise as a subject for research. It is a complete phenomenon which requires at any one time, history, sociology, psychology, ethnology, anthropology and technology. Furthermore scholars refer to it as ‘interdisciplinary’ because they bring together different conceptual frameworks and disciplinary approaches, including those from art history, cultural studies, design studies, economics and business studies, history, literature, linguistics, political science and visual arts. Invariably, such a pervasive phenomenon as fashion has always been the subject of much commentary. | en_US |
