Innate spatial needs of man, an examination of instinct as an implication and its spatial attributes in man's dwelling place

Abstract

Innate needs of man are the needs with which man is born. They are understood through the instincts of man. The instinctual needs of man are common in all men, and are vital in his life. It is observed that the instinctual needs of man such as security, belonging, shelter etc... have a spatial implication in them. Some times, they might not be direct and physical, but could be addressed and fulfilled in the spatial experience. The fulfillment of the innate needs could bring about a sense of well being to man. This dissertation tries to understand the nature of the innate needs and their attribute to man in relation to his dwelling place.
