dc.description.abstract | The global attention and the awareness is now gradually focusing on much more environmental friendly and sustainable development process. The green concepts have been now identifying as the right element to connect both corporate Green concepts are emerging In Sri Lanka; several organizations have taken initiatives to adopt green trends. Thoueh the numbers are few, it is encouraging to identify that few organizations have also initiated green IT practices internal as well as external factors which motivate Organizations towards ‘Greening’. This paper Identifies Green IT initiatives as well as the potential barriers towards Green IT implementations among Sri Lankan organizations, since it can be considered useful setting green targets of the country and to move towards green goals.
