University based engineering research and local industry : bridging the gaps

Abstract

"This paper "seeks* to highlight some • gaps between' university based engineering research and local industry in Sri Lanka. These gaps are identified with respect to Goals, Areas, Personnel and Support. The subject is dealt with in terms of issues or alternatives. The paper also makes some suggestions for bridging the gaps.
