dc.description.abstract The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released its report on climate change, and they have taken the message under the title ‘Code RED for Humanity' Whether we are in a pandemic or not we are in the decade where we have to collectively act, and meet critical expectations to safeguard the planet. Actually the reality is safeguarding humanity as the planet would continue in a trajectory to be the next Venus! Some who are working in science and technology are planning to move into Mars when that happens. However, its not an op- ipn for most of us. The irony is that the overseas press gave wide Publicity to the news from the IPCC, the local press was almost silent. We reading developments like mar kets making merry while the state was hungry for dollars coming from anywhere. The idea somehow still is to ramp up consumption and activities on all fronts. en_US
