dc.description.abstract | Micro‐hydroelectric systems are used in remote rural areas extensively due to the low cost with lot of unsatisfactory system performance. This paper presents results obtained from experiments undertaken on a standalone micro hydroelectric system in Sri Lanka with solutions to improve the reliability. The proposed solutions include a hybrid filtering technique to eliminate the harmonics and a new microcontroller based Induction Generator Controller (IGC) circuit. | |
