dc.description.abstract Due to rapid increase of 3 phase motors the usage of MCCBs, contactors and overloads have also increased. The main objective of project is to design and implement a low cost Electronically Controlled Circuit Breaker (ECCB) for 3phase motors to attract the small & medium scale industrialists in the local market. Our task was to combine the features of MCCBs, contactors and the overload into a single unit and come up with a flexible high performance item. Operating range and ratings of the breaker can be adjusted as required by the user.
