A laboratory workcell has been developed for fish cutting.
The workcell, which uses a variety of sensors, actuators,
and hardware for component interface and control, operates
with the help of a dedicated supervisory control system. A
layered architecture has been used for the system. It has
several knowledge-based modules for carrying out tasks
such as workcell monitoring, controller tuning, workcell
conditioning, and product quality assessment. The paper
describes the workcell and the intelligent supervisory
control system. Performance of the supervisory system is
studied through fish cutting experiments |
