dc.description.abstract In Sri Lanka, statistics show people between the ages of 20 and 45 are the most likely to be injured by landmines. When they are disabled, they become a burden to the country's economy, requiring assistance instead of contributing to the country's growth. This article discusses how landmines affect Sri Lanka and the efforts being undertaken to lessen their impact.
