dc.description.abstract Most of our time is spent in a building. If we take a man's life time into consideration, from birth to death, approximately 99% of his life period is spent in a building. Thus , a building is an inseparable objects from his life. Therefore, undoubtedly, building in which his most of time is spent, has to be a one partner in his life. "IN NATURE, WHAT HOLDS TOGETHER WILL LIVE, WHAT IS WEAK OR DISUSED WILL DIE." Whatever we add to the nature, it has to be another part of the whole. Since buildings are purely for people, it has to be part of the human beings. For the existence of both, building and people who it have to be inter bound as partners. To be with a partner, the sound of his voice, the touch of his hands, the way he smiles and talks - all these human expressions - are vital to us. You cannot live with a dead person who is expressionless. Further, you become very friendly and comfortable, when the expressions of the other person satisfy your emotional feelings.Similarly, to be with a building, to become your partner, the building should be alive - should have expressions. "THE FEELINGS WHICH ARE PROPER TO BE EXPRESSED IN ARCHITECTURE ARE OF TWO KINDS. The FIRST KIND IS, FEELING FOR THE ACTUAL STUFF OF ARCHITECTURE, MATERIALS, STRUCTURE, COLOR, FUNCTION, SPACE ETC. THE SECOND IND IS FEELING FOR , AND SYMPATHY WITH, THE PEOPLE WHO WILL USE AND LIVE WITH THE BUILDING"2 Among your partners, you have your best partners. Partnership is based on the best respose to each other. All expression are to be appropriate to each partner. Therefore, the building with which you have your best partnership, should have appropriate expressions to your expectations and needs. Through these expression, the person who uses the building - "The User"- understands the building and becomes comfortable. "GOOD ARCHITECTURE IS THAT WHICH MAKES THE USER MOST COMFORTABLE. The USER, IT WAS FURTHER ARGUED, MAY SUFFER DISCOMFORT, WHEN HE IS DEPRIVED HIS CHOICE, WHEN HIS BEHAVIOR PATTERNS ARE INHIBITED ROUND HIM EXPRESSED INAPPROPRIATE MEANING"3 All that we are entitled to conclude is that the building should express the appropriate meaning to the people who use it, for them to be comfortable physically and mentally. The more this relationship exists, the more the building will function and the user will be comfortable. Thereby they will be together, and both will live.
