Investigation of problematic issues associated with Sri Lankan SME sector die and mould industry

Abstract

The high cost of moulds, poor quality and low productivity are three main issues faced by the SME sector die and mould industry in Sri Lanka. Those key issues are created by several interconnected problematic issues. The main objective of this paper is to present some of the key issues faced by local SME sector die and mould industries. This investigation was carried out through a questionnaire based survey data gathered from local SME sector die and mould manufacturing organizations.
