In the PID control algorithm, ultrasonic distance detection is used to keep the vehicle running parallelly along a wall. In the MPC algorithm, the vehicle is able to run according to planned paths and create the map by Lidar SLAM. In the paper, the real implementation of the system is detailed practical experiment validations.enRobot operating systemMecanum wheelLidarPID controlModel predictive ControlRos-based mobile robot pid and mpc controlConference-Full-textITInformation Technology Research Unit, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa.20238th International Conference in Information Technology Research 2023Moratuwa, Sri Lankapp. 1-6Proceedings of the 8th International Conference in Information Technology Research 2023ray890401@gmail.comycwu@nuu.edu.twooxx123456tw@gmail.comcyyang@mail.ntpu.edu.tw
