Abstract:
In this study, TiO2 nanotube array was
successfully synthesized by anodizing a Ti foil in a Fluoride
containing electrolyte and obtained a relationship between
nanotube parameters and synthesis process parameters. The
studied anodization parameters were anodization voltage and
time. Scanning electron microscopy was used to study the tube
morphology. The diameters of synthesized nanotubes at
different anodization conditions ranged from 28 nm to 90 nm
while the tube lengths ranged from 2.5 μm to 15 μm. The
obtained tube length and diameter values were statistically
analyzed, which showed a strong relationship between process
parameters and tube morphology. It was found that the tube
diameter obeys the following relationship with process
parameters. “Diameter = 1.109(Voltage) + 6.863(Time) + 0.284”.
This study facilitates the researchers to tailor the structure of
the TiO2 nanotube layer according to the properties required.
