The overall research work being carried out by Mi- Tissa is in the area of micro level traffic modeling for suburban areas. The hypotheses used in this research work are to find out the relationship between income and trip generation in the local context. As it is not possible to collect real income data due to various reasons inherited to developing countries, indirect methods are used to correlate income levels. It was assumed that the household electricity consumption is correlated to income level of such households.
