"Ecotourism" : designing for the future tourism trends

Abstract

Tourism is the one of the leading industries of the world, which has more contribution to a country's economy. Therefore development of the industry has a large importance. But in the mass scale development of the industry, which can be called as mass tourism, it should not spoil the countries cultural, social and environmental values. Therefore in the development process, Architects have to carryout several contributions within the design process as well as in the management process, to fulfill the requirement of a person who can overlook the process from the project initiation up to completion. And to do this new trend was developed and this can call as "Ecotourism". Therefore handling of tourism projects under this concept leads to the sustainability of the tourism industry.
