dc.description.abstract | This research paper focuses on the incident management and organizational factors having a bearing on quality of safety performance in the building construction projects. Central to the study is a narrative review of relevant literature, statistical analysis, and a performance evaluation system, which profiles the top performing factors, assigns their importance value and propose suggestions for improvement. Using the data acquired from 73 respondents through regression analysis, ANOVA, and correlation, the study assesses the direct associations between management attitudes, management policies, and safety performance. This conclusion is a clear reminder of how critical the dedication of management towards providing a safe environment, attitudes of supervisors and organizational policies plays in promote the same environment. The implementation safety evaluation model is a tool to be used by the organization in an approach when measuring performance for safety and guiding improvement activities. Recommendations include among other things: adding more safety training, adequate communication channels and sufficiently resourcing safety initiatives. The paper fill in knowledge gap in the area of risk management practices by presenting evidence based of the experience worthy of emulation especially in the construction sector and also offer the required tools for safety performance assessment on the projects. | |
