| dc.description.abstract | This research focuses on the engineering optimization and manufacturing refinement of a high-speed system for blood and plasma separation. A rigorous design process emphasized rotor stability, motor integration, and material selection to ensure safe operation at speeds up to 15,000 RPM. Structural integrity was validated using finite element analysis, rigid dynamic simulations, and modal studies. Advanced production methods, such as additive manufacturing for mounts and laser-based fabrication for the frame, improved vibration damping and reduced assembly complexity. Design variations, including chuck-mounted rotors and integrated outrunner motors, were evaluated to minimize wear and enhance long-term performance. The final system combines lightweight materials with geometry-driven structural optimization, offering a dynamically stable and cost-effective alternative to conventional methods. | |
