This research investigates the adaptation of mathematical concepts, particularly the Fibonacci sequence, in the creative pattern-making of renowned designers Issey Miyake, Shingo Sato, and Andrea Brocca. Through an in-depth analysis of their techniques, employing cotton-greige fabric as a standardized variable, the study explores key parameters that are applied in the garment work study analysis technique. The research questions delve into current adaptation methods, the application of garment work study analysis, and the identifi cation of the most effective adaptation method for mass production by addressing the lack of knowledge and limited adoption of pattern construction techniques that are prevalent in the garment industry. The research dips into comparative analyses to reveal distinct attributes of each designer's approach to garment production while aiming to bridge the gap between haute couture and mass production. The fi ndings emphasize the signifi cance of marker utilization and production time in shaping sustainability and profi tability within the fashion industry. While acknowledging limitations, including the confi ned context of selected designers, the research provides valuable insights for academia and industry professionals for future investigations and simplifi es these adaptation methods for mass production.
