This paper is primarily an attempt at formulating a new approach to the analysis of the work of an architect. It may also be viewed as an acknowledgement of the contribution made by a Sri Lankan architect to the profession in Sri Lanka and as a thinly disguised attempt, by the local School of Architecture, to claim credit for the contribution it has made to his development.en_US
