Universities produce valuable technological inventions as research output. In many developing countries like Sri Lanka, only a limited number of technological inventions developed in the universities are transferred to industry. · However, many industrialized countries and industrializing countries have understood the importance of transferring university technology to the industry and have established formal setups for technology transfer. This paper studies the technology transfer process of selected universities. The paper analyses the technology transfer process and other related activities and IP policy of the university.
