Abstract

Stem cells are the body’s master cells with a unique ability to develop into many different types of cells—such as heart, nerve, or skin cells—making them vital in early development, tissue repair, and medical treatments. Researchers investigate stem cells for regenerative medicine, drug development, and disease research due to their unique properties. There are two main categories of stem cells: Embryonic Stem Cells (ESC) and Adult Stem Cells (ASC).
