dc.description.abstractThis paper explains some findings of research on multimedia applications for Sri Lanka. The paper shows the usefulness of Interactive Computer Aided Instructions (ICAI) for the education and training of Sri Lankan students and trainees. It describes what interactive computer aided instructions are and the advantages of using ICAI technique over other conventional methods of training and teaching. It also explains why ICAI is better suited for the above purpose in relation to the interactivity. Limitations that may arise in the Sri Lankan situation are also highlighted. Minimum resource requirements to build up an ICAI environment are shown
