The entrance is the first element experienced in any built environment, which acts as the transitional space from the outer to the internal space. It acts as the starting point of the particular environment, not only demarcating the entry point, but also is the starting point of a whole series of experiences. This process of entering effectively contributes to the overall expression given by the built form, both architecturally and functionally. The impression on human mind of the first time on a building is greatly affected by the "entrance." Therefore the overall expression created by the built form is largely depend on the expression conveyed by the entrance. Entrance as a starting point of a series of experiences; is an intermediate space, Which links two spaces that are different in considering both use and scale. So these outer and inner spaces are having two different environmental qualities, that are produced by different expressive qualities unique to different environments. The 'entrance' is the third space, which makes the gradual transition of the human mind, by sharing common relationships between the first and second spaces(outer and inner). The transitional role of this third space; the 'entrance', depends upon the environmental qualities of the first and second two spaces which are to be linked by it. So that the 'Entrance' as a series of experiences, acts as a dynamic and a Transitional 'space', whereas, as a whole, acts as an 'element' which effectively Contribute to the overall expression given by the total form.
