| dc.description.abstract | The review of literature on workplace flexibility strategies revealed that flexible working arrangements (FW A) could motivate the employees resulting in a reduction of employee related problems to a greater extent. However, it is also argued that FWA could also result in unnecessary management problems. Therefore, the specific objectives of the study were to investigate the extent to which FWA have improved the operational flexibility of the Sri Lankan software development firms, to identify the attitudes of the employees of Sri Lankan software development industry toward the use ofFWA, and to identify the barriers in the implementation of the FWA. This study elaborates only two dimensions of the FWA, which could be classified as flexible working hours (FWH) and casual dress code (CDC). | en_US |
